Success Case

T2S modernizes Tecon Salvador's general cargo operation with corporate systems integration

Tecon Salvador sought to improve bulk cargo operations with greater traceability, control, and efficiency, replacing manual and decentralized processes with integrated and automated solutions. T2S brought expertise to integrate complex technologies and automate logistics operations, enabling modernization.

Context

Tecon Salvador sought to improve bulk cargo operations with greater traceability, control, and efficiency, replacing manual and decentralized processes with integrated and automated solutions. T2S brought expertise to integrate complex technologies and automate logistics operations, enabling modernization.

The Challenge

The general cargo operation relied on emails, spreadsheets, and legacy systems to register license plates, link ships, and control flows, with low accuracy and high operational load. The Navis N4 TOS required adaptations to bulk specifics, limiting automation and integration.

Objective

Integrate general cargo operations into corporate systems, automating scheduling, access control, weighing, and real-time monitoring at the quay; eliminate manual controls, increase data reliability, and raise operational efficiency.

The Solution

In about four months, T2S and Tecon Salvador implemented customizations and integrations: adjustments in N4, new B2B for spreadsheet import, WSCostado for quay operation, integrations with scales, OCR, and Recintos API, as well as automated dashboards and reports (Tally and Statement).

Adjustments in Navis N4 with creation of gates and specific rules for general cargo truck flow

Customization of Vessel Visit for capacity control by hold

New function in B2B to import driver and vehicle spreadsheets.

Technologies: Groovy (N4 customizations), C# .NET (auxiliary systems), Oracle (database), Figma (prototypes/dashboards); integrations with OCR, scales, and Recintos API.

Results

The general cargo operation started running integrated with corporate systems, eliminating parallel controls. There were gains in control, traceability, and weighing accuracy, in addition to report automation and a successful Go Live.

Greater control and traceability of quay operations

Reduction of errors and less dependence on manual processes

Automation of reports (Tally/Statement) and more accuracy in weighing

Go Live performed with the operation structured and integrated into N4.

With T2S, Tecon Salvador integrated bulk cargo into the corporate ecosystem, gained efficiency and predictability, and took a decisive step in modernizing the operation.
